I am backkkk....

I took a bit of a hiatus as my professional career took a very dramatic shift, experienced funemployment and spent a week in Mexico. But I am back and like everyone else, excited for Summer!

So about my job...... I think I could probably write a pretty large novel about my career in the past few years, because it has been a journey. Long story short- education just was not it anymore (no I do not want a cookie "for my hard work"... I would like a raise and to not be expected to work a ridiculous amount of nights/weekends). Also- those weren't even the good cookies! They were the cheap day old ones.

In January I made a pact with myself to apply to one new job a day until someone offered me literally anything outside of education, with a little luck, networking and a support group on Facebook, I made the leap out of education in early April. It has been amazing and it is 100% remote!

I started Summer Lea Living to have a fun creative outlet, so while I feel bad for neglecting this site so long, it needed to take a back burner. This is supposed to be fun! "SUMMER SHOULD BE FUN" -Kyle Cooke, Summer House
