The first post.

I feel that being the first post this should be something deeply profound or well branded. Well tah-dah. Here it is, this is me- likely with several typos and please don't start on my lack of grammar skills. Despite growing up an incredibly avid reader, I am absolutely terrible with adjectives and adverbs. I really wanted to start this project as a hobby to connect my rural past and urban present, both of which have brought me great joy. Like many people, the pandemic changed my life. It gave me a lot of time to think (which I was very grateful for and recognize was a great privilege.) I always said if I won the lottery, I would become one of those Starbucks dwellers- feverishly typing away on a MacBook and drinking cup after cup of coffee. Well, I didn't win the lottery, but, I figured waiting to win the lottery was a bad idea. Anything worth starting is worth starting today.
