What We're Up To- week 2

Oh my goodness- how on earth is Thanksgiving next week.... unreal. Some last breaths of warm weather have brushed Omaha this week and it feels amazing- it is great to be able to take the dog outside and not freeze.

1) MULHALLS- Thursday night our favorite greenhouse Mulhall's is having a Christmas Market. Tickets were $10, and $5 goes towards Keep Omaha Beautiful. Mulhall's has wonderful events and this one is looking to be their best yet. The list of vendors keeps growing- Wax Buffalo Candles, Sweet Magnolia's Bake Shop and coffee by Hardy Coffee are all confirmed vendors. It is going to be a great mid-week date night!

2) CURLING- The U.S. Olympic Curling team trials are coming back to Baxter Area in Aksarben. Many of the curling teams have family members or spouses within the team, so in the stands, there are large groups of extended families. The extended families are super friendly and oddly calm considering their loved ones are competing to go to the Olympic Games. The families and other spectator were very kind explaining all of the rules and when to cheer (they even let us hold their large head cutouts of the curlers!).

3) RHOSLC- Jen Shah and the Shahrrest was this week! The pandemic has turned me into a Bravo junkie. There are so many good shows on right now it is very hard to keep up, but I have been waiting on the Jen Shah arrest for a long time. It's utterly hilarious how much those women knew about laundering money because they watched Ozark. Love it. Also- the pointing of fingers at each other "who called the feds?". It is hard to believe and of those women just randomly have the feds on speed dial. It's the feds- they will find you! (Respect to the RHOSLC snack choices- Charleston Chews and Cheetos on top of all their Louis Vuitton bags? My kind of women.)

4) THANKSGIVING- Thanksgiving is next week, which means I should probably figure out what to bring. Fudge is my go to and I have gotten many compliments on my fudge being creamy. It is literally just the Buzzfeed Tasty recipe- I think the trick to making it creamy is insanely aggressive stirring- for real. Stir it and stir some more if you want it smooth, and then have the rest of your household stir it and then call it a day. (Extremely aggressive vanilla pouring as well- you can never have too much vanilla).
